Step 9: Modify extracted parts

In this section, we will create a RUNNER and a MOLDING to show how the extracted models may be modified.

In the Menu Manager, pick FEATURE > MOLD COMP > select the MLD_HUB_MOLD_CAVITY component > RUNNER

Select TRAPEZOID shape:

Runner Width = 5
Runner Depth = 4
Runner Side Angle = 15
Runner Corner Radius = 1

Select MAIN_PARTING_PLN as the Sketch Plane (Sketch Path) and sketch the following Line that approaches at 2.4 mm from the side of the model:

You may now add a HOLE in the model MLD_HUB_MOLD_CORE at the vertical of the runner we just created. Activate the MLD_HUB_MOLD_CORE model and then insert a hole. Make the diameter 10, Thru All, and place on the top of the runner.

Now, from the Menu Manager, pick MOLDING > CREATE and accept all defaults: the new part PRT0001.PRT is created.

RMB and OPEN this part: this is the resulting molding.
