Undercuts

In this section, you will learn how to clearly isolate and identify undercut areas to decide the best strategy to handle them.

In many cases, the undercuts will be formed with sliders, so this analysis is presented while in the Mold Design process so that you have started the creation of a Slider geometry.

Open the file SWMOLD.MFG from the attached data

Press to start the creation of a slider geometry
Then from the top menu, Insert > Slider...
Press the button Calculate Undercut Boundaries,
Select all quilts from the right list in the dialog (tip: use Control-A to select them all), and push the 2 buttons (mesh and shade) to see the different ways to analyze the results.
