Designing a mold core and cavity is most often followed by (or paralled by) the design of the mold layout assembly itself. In this tutorial, we will review some techniques to set up and use a Mold Layout catalog.

In this tutorial, you will learn:

How to properly install the mold base library,
How to create basic cutouts in the parts,
How to place an ejection pin,
How to create the cut outs related to the ejectors pins.

This tutorial covers the functionality available in the Pro/MOLDESIGN module. Greater automation and ease-of-use can be obtained for all these tasks and more by using the Expert Moldbase Extension (EMX). EMX is not covered by this tutorial.
